What does the Trade-In Index tell us?

The July 2026 index establishes our baseline. From August 2026 we will publish month-on-month changes — showing which devices are holding value and which are declining. This is particularly useful if you are deciding when to sell an ageing flagship before its price drops further.

Key observations from the July baseline:

The iPhone 17 Pro Max (1TB) reaches £880 at the top of the market — the highest single-device recycling price in the index

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra holds value well relative to its retail price — £568 for the 256GB represents strong retention

The iPhone 13 range is now in the £198 to £205 range — still meaningful value for a device launched in 2021

Google Pixel 9 Pro at £292 represents solid value retention for a mid-range flagship
